Made by spirits industry legend Philip Duff, who helped create Bols Genever among other brands, this is an authentic Dutch genever made in the country's traditional distilling heartland Schiedam. Composed of 53% malt wine (triple-distilled rye and malted barley) and 47% grain spirit, plus juniper, citrus peel, star anise, liquorice and coriander botanicals, this is a beautifully-made spirit that works wonderfully in traditional cocktails.

 

40% ABV / 750ml

Creamy, with grain at the forefront again, but also some cardamom. Just a hint of orange, and finally a whisper of aniseed. Finish: Gentle lemon, and lingering grains.

60 ml Old Duff Genever
30 ml Lemon Juice
15 ml Rich Sugar Syrup 2:1
Top With Sparkling Water

Shake all ingredients except for sparkling water with ice and fine strain into a chilled glass, then top the glass with sparkling water garnish with a lemon slice.
